Djennah Cherif is a Moroccan-Dutch footballer who plays as a left-back or winger. She is a full international for Morocco and has also represented the Netherlands at the youth level.
She is known for her left-footed crossing ability and can play effectively as both a defensive left-back and an attacking winger.
Although she represents Morocco today, her first taste of international football came in 2019 when she was called up for the Netherlands U-15 squad.
She made headlines for a bizarre red card in October 2025; she was sent off against PEC Zwolle after receiving a second yellow card specifically for tying her shoelaces while the game was active.
She is a huge fan of Dutch star Lieke Martens; she once traveled all the way to Barcelona just to participate in a training session with her idol.
Djennah has already played professionally in three different countries by the age of 20: France (Thonon Γvian), Belgium (KRC Genk), and the Netherlands.
She reportedly paid her own transfer buyout fee to leave her club in France and secure a move to KRC Genk in Belgium because she was so eager for the opportunity.
