Kaylaine proudly carries her Maré roots — her Amazon campaign turned her story into a message of hope for girls from Brazil’s favelas, working-class communities where talent often has to fight harder to be seen.

Kaylaine already knows what it feels like to stand on a World Cup podium — she represented Brazil at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, where the Seleção finished third.

Kaylaine helped revive a forgotten piece of women’s football history — joining Amazon’s remake of “Futebol Feminino,” a 1941 song once banned during Brazil’s prohibition on women playing the game.

Kaylaine has a clear soft spot for children — one public caption says it best: “I only believe in children’s smiles.”

One of Kaylaine’s most playful early-career moments came at Flamengo: after scoring a great goal against Santos, she celebrated with a pacifier — and later joked that she would keep scoring and celebrating that way.
