Lizbeth Jacqueline Ovalle Muñoz also known as Jacqueline Ovalle is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a left winger for the Orlando Pride of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and the Mexico national team.
She scored the Goal of the tournament on U20 Women's world cup in 2018.
Her transfer to Orlando Pride went down in history as the most expensive transfer in women's soccer at the time. She was also the first Mexican player (male or female) to be valued at over a million dollars.
It was a season of broken records. Women’s football is growing, and one of the clearest signs is the ever-increasing amount of money being invested in the women's game. Chelsea set a new benchmark in 2025, Arsenal topped it that summer, and then both London clubs were surpassed by an NWSL side.
First Naomi Girma to Chelsea, then Olivia Smith to Arsenal, and now Lizbeth Ovalle to Orlando Pride. Women’s football is on the rise, and this year’s third record-breaking transfer fee for a player proves it.
