Miriaél Géanne Taylor is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Women's Super League club Aston Villa on loan from Liverpool.
As a child, Miri Taylor balanced dancing and playing football. All her schoolmates were boys who played soccer while she danced, but she missed being with them and decided to join their team, despite skeptical looks from parents.
She joined the Chelsea academy at age 12. She spent six years at Chelsea, advancing to the reserves and then, at 16, to the first team, becoming the second-youngest player to play for Chelsea.
She also played with a boys' elite academy until she was 18.
Taylor chose to attend college in the United States for the balance between football and academics. She earned a degree in Rhetoric and Public Advocacy from Hofstra University.
Her favorite film is Inception.
Her favorite holiday destinations are Greece, Italy and Croatia.
Her go-to pre-match meal is coffee and peanut butter on toast.
Her favorite sport to watch besides football is basketball but she likes a bit of everything.
