Mirte van Koppen is a Dutch forward who plays for AFC Ajax in the Vrouwen Eredivisie. She has represented the Netherlands at youth international level.
She comes from a handball family, and her cousin Danick Snelder played for the Dutch national handball team.
Her mum told her she could start football when she was ten if she still liked it, and Van Koppen says thatās how she ended up choosing football.
She used to play football in a small cage with her brother and cousin.
She studies Real Estate alongside football.
She gets energy from simple time with friends, like grabbing coffee or going shopping.
Sheād love to work in sales one day because she genuinely enjoys selling things.
