Narumi Miura is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) club Washington Spirit and the Japan national team.
She began her professional club career in 2016 with Tokyo Verdy Beleza after being promoted from their youth team, Tokyo Verdy Menina.
She represented Japan at the 2019 FIFA Womenβs World Cup and the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
She began playing football at age six, inspired by her older brother.
In fourth grade, she joined FC Persimmon as the only girl on the team and trained under demanding coaches.
She grew up near Brighton & Hove Albion player Kaoru Mitoma and attended the same kindergarten; they are childhood friends.
She runs a football clinic.
She is close friend with former NC Courage teammate Denise O'Sullivan.
