Following Magdalena Eriksson, another stalwart of the Swedish national team has ended her career.
- Veteran Linda Sembrant is leaving the national team after the bronze medal matches against France in the Nations League.
- The decision comes after a long and distinguished international career: she has accumulated well over 150 caps for Sweden, participated in four World Cups, two European Championships and two Olympic Games.
- While she is closing the chapter on her national-team career, it remains uncertain whether she will immediately end her club career as well. At least for now, she hasn't ruled out continuing at club level in AIK Stockholm.
- Previously in 2025 she left her club at the time (FC Bayern MΓΌnchen), which added to speculation that she might retire entirely β but publicly sheβs kept her options open.
