The Chelsea captain and recent winner of the domestic treble has no regrets about her decision.
- Millie Bright says withdrawing from England’s Euro 2025 squad was “the best decision” she’s ever made, admitting she was mentally and physically drained after Chelsea’s treble-winning season.
- The 32-year-old defender, who has 88 England caps, was a key part of England’s Euro 2022 triumph and captained them to the 2023 World Cup final (Leah Williamson was injured with ACL at the time). Despite missing the Euros in Switzerland, she has no regrets, calling it a “decision for me.”
- Bright revealed she’d been ignoring physical and mental struggles while pushing Chelsea to success but realised after their FA Cup victory over Manchester United she needed to step back to avoid “a breakdown.”
