Euro day eleven. Which players to watch today?

Although the teams advancing from Group C are already certain and today's games are only about ranking, the fighting spirit remains strong and neither team is giving up. On one side are the combative Germans, driven by the desire to play for their injured captain Gwinn. On the other side are the Swedes, motivated by a desire to break out of their era of silver and bronze medals at major championships. They are also driven to success by the fact that they are playing in their last championship under their coach Gerdhardson, who would like to end his tenure with a medal. Which players should we focus on today?

Sweden - Johanna Rytting Kaneryd

Although JoJo, as she is nicknamed, and Stina Blackstenius played together long ago at Häcken before their paths diverged to London city rivals, these two Swedish strikers still show great teamwork. Kaneryd sets up the play, Blackstenius finishes it off. For her skill in setting up a beautiful goal-scoring opportunity, Kaneryd was recently named Player of the Match.

Germany - Lea SchĂĽller

One of the most prominent players in the already star-studded German team. A key player for Bayern Munich, with whom she won the title and cup this season, she scored 11 goals and four assists in 22 games, which is an impressive record. She continues her form at the Euros, where she scored against Denmark and Poland. She will certainly cause problems for the Swedish defense.

Poland - Paulina Dudek

Poland does not have many players in the top leagues. However, those who are there are prominent and almost permanent members of the starting lineup—whether it's Ewa Pajor in Barcelona, Kinga Szemik in West Ham, or Paulina Dudek in PSG, where she has been since 2018. The Polish women have finally achieved their dream of qualifying for the Euro, and even though this is their last match, they will want to say goodbye with dignity. And maybe even with their first goal.

Denmark - Amalie Vansgaard

The Danes may have expected more from themselves at the championship. So far, they have not earned any points and have scored only one goal. That was against Germany, which gave them a brief lead. The goal was scored by Amalie Vansgaard. A very successful player who has enjoyed success in Sweden and France, she was named Danish Player of the Year and now continues her journey at Juventus, with whom she also won the title. She too will want to bid farewell to the Euros with improved goal statistics.
