A new U13 girls’ football trophy in Kent has been named after England and Arsenal striker Alessia Russo. The award celebrates her rise from grassroots to the international stage, inspiring the next generation of players.

  • Sky, in partnership with Arsenal & England forward Alessia Russo and the UK charity Goals 4 Girls, has introduced a new trophy competition called The Alessia Cup, aimed at boosting girls’ participation in grassroots football.
  • The Alessia Cup is designed to provide opportunities for teenage girls from under-served backgrounds to engage in football, with a focus on building confidence, resilience, and leadership beyond just the sport itself.
