"You need to suffer to achieve something!" Fans have finally got what they've been waiting for. Almost six months after their phenomenal victory in the Champions League, Arsenal presents a four-part documentary about their journey to the fulfilled dream.

The former player has been with the club since 2023, when she ended her career, as a Football Services Executive. Now she has a new role ahead of her.Â
Back in the fall, there was speculation that Smilla Holmberg, a 19-year-old Swedish star, would leave Hammarby, where she grew up as a player, to join Arsenal. On January 5, she became the club's first winter signing.
Just like in last season's Champions League, Real got off to a better start, but Arsenal came back to win thanks to goals from Alessia Russo.
At the end-of-season awards, Leah Williamson was honoured with the Golden Player Woman award, while rising star Michelle Agyemang claimed the European Golden Girl title—celebrating their standout contributions for Arsenal Women and the England national team.
Smilla Holmberg, age 19 and currently a right-back for Hammarby IF in Sweden, is reportedly very close to a move to Arsenal Women, expected to be finalised during the January transfer window.
She made it into the starting lineup as a replacement for the injured Leah Williamson. However, 19-year-old Katie Reid charmed the Gooners, who voted her Player of the Month.Â
Sad news for Arsenal fans. According to coach Renée Slegers, Leah Williamson won’t return to the pitch before Christmas.
Arsenal’s record signing proved her worth. In the opening match of the new WSL season at the Emirates, the Gunners briefly trailed after Kosovare Asllani converted a penalty for London City Lionesses. But Olivia Smith struck to equal the score, and Arsenal turned the game around before halftime. Thanks to another summer signing - Chloe Kelly.Â
The last few days have been marked by speculation that 32-year-old Swiss player Lia Wälti would leave Arsenal of her own accord after seven seasons. Today, Walti herself confirmed this move when she said goodbye to the club with which she won the Champions League in May in a farewell video.          Â
Although Leah Williamson (Arsenal) and Lauren James (Chelsea) shone at this year's Euro and brought home the European Championship title to England, their clubs will have to start the season without them. Both stars of the Women's Super League are recovering from injuries.Â
