Constance Lara Colline Picaud is a French professional goalkeeper who captains FC Fleury 91 in France’s Première Ligue and plays for the France women’s national team.
She has a daughter named Anaë with her wife Nane.
She was one of two openly lesbian French players at the 2023 World Cup.
She has a dog called Simba.
As a kid, her parents didn’t want her to play football – they saw it as “a sport for boys” and put her in tennis instead. She kept insisting until, at 10 years old, they finally let her sign her first license.
She is an ambassador for Football Ecologie France, having officially joined the association in March 2022 and describing ecology as “super important,” something she wants to integrate into both daily life and her profession.
Before turning pro, she lived a double life as a volunteer firefighter while working two jobs: in a leisure centre and in a minibus company transporting children with disabilities.
Once her playing career is over she has already decided she wants to make firefighting her full-time profession.
Growing up, she also played basketball, handball and tennis.
