Ceylin Yilmaz

She has Turkish roots, and says both of her parents were born in Turkey before moving to France as young children.

Her father was a goalkeeper at the amateur level and coached at her first club, which helped spark her love for the position

She started out playing football with boys because her friends played — and she says she asked to join in too.

Before committing to goalkeeping, she also played outfield and enjoyed being involved in the game all over the pitch.
