Rosalie Chaine is a French professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Montpellier Hérault SC in the French D1 Arkema (women’s top division).
She emerged from MHSC’s youth academy and made her senior debut in 2024 at just 17.
She has also represented France at the under-19 level, helping the Bleuettes reach the final of the 2025 UEFA U-19 Women’s Championship.
She grew up admiring midfield maestros like Andrés Iniesta and Lionel Messi, as well as French playmaker Dimitri Payet.
Friends joke that she can get annoyed over trivial things when competing – whether it’s training drills or even FIFA on PlayStation – because she absolutely hates to lose.
Her father played football and introduced her to the sport from a very young age. She started playing football at just four years old.
She played in mixed teams until the age of 14. Before joining Montpellier, she had never played football exclusively with girls.
