Daniella Famili is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for AIK in Sweden’s top division, the Damallsvenskan.
Daniella was born and raised in Skälby, located within the Järfälla municipality of Sweden.
Famili began her football journey at the youth club Bele Barkarby FF.
Daniella Famili left Sweden to play in college football in the USA. During her time at Coastal Carolina University, she was twice named to the Dean’s List for maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
In the 2016 fall term at university, she earned a spot on the President’s List with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
She suffered a major setback in 2019 when she tore her ACL just one month into her return to Sweden with IF Brommapojkarna.
In her free time, she loves trying out new activities such as sandboarding.
She is a prolific penalty taker, having converted critical spot-kicks during both her college career and her professional tenure in Sweden.
Famili ranks in the top 10 of Coastal Carolina University’s career record books for matches played, goals, and assists.
She has a younger sister, Michelle Famili, who also played football for Bele Barkarby.
She is a big dog lover and has one of her own.
