Djoeke de Ridder is a Dutch defender who has represented the Netherlands at youth international level (U17, U19, U20) and plays professionally for AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie Vrouwen.
She began her youth career at FC Castricum and AFC ’34, two clubs in North Holland known for developing young players.
Before joining AZ Alkmaar, De Ridder also spent time in the Ajax youth system and later played with VV Alkmaar.
She joined AZ Alkmaar at the start of the 2023–24 season, shortly after the club relaunched its women’s team in the Dutch top division.
De Ridder has been regularly called up for Netherlands youth national teams, representing the country at U17, U19, and U20 levels.
She played at the UEFA Women’s U17 Championship in Bosnia and Herzegovina earlier in her youth international career.
In 2024 she was selected for the Netherlands squad at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, where the team finished fourth in the tournament.
