Nienke Holland

Holland has Dutch and New Zealand roots, her mother is a New Zealander who moved to the Netherlands, where Nienke was raised.

She was just 15 at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, making her one of the youngest players in New Zealand’s squad.

She saved a penalty at the U-17 World Cup against Japan, Holland stopped Yūna Aoki’s second penalty after Aoki had converted the first attempt.

She was part of New Zealand’s 2025 OFC U-16 Women’s Championship-winning squad, as New Zealand continued its run of dominance in the competition.

Away from football, Holland attends Willem Blaeu College in the Netherlands.
