Ellie Leigh Mason is an English-born Northern Irish footballer who plays as a defender. She represents Northern Ireland at senior international level, having previously made two friendly appearances for Gibraltar.

She started out primarily as an attacking player, but Yeovil converted her into a defender after she joined the club in 2018.

She is naturally left-footed.

Her family history gave her an unusual international path. Mason was eligible for Gibraltar through family links and later qualified for Northern Ireland through her maternal grandfather from Ballymena.

Mason later switched to Northern Ireland and made her debut against Latvia in September 2022.

Mason is a Manchester United supporter, so Lewes drawing United in the 2023 FA Cup quarter-finals gave her the chance to play against the club she supports.
