Emma Tomassoni

Football was not Emma’s first serious sport — she played rugby for seven years.

She started playing football for fun at around six years old, often playing on a local pitch with her brothers and friends during the summer.

Her older brothers had a big influence on her love of sport, and she grew up following them and their sporting activities.

Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci are two of her biggest defensive role models.

Emma balances football with school by studying around her training schedule, including using dedicated study rooms and tutors at Viola Park.

If she could not pursue football as a player, she would still like to work in sport and has specifically named physiotherapy as a career that interests her.
