Emma Lombardi

She began playing in a boys’ team in the province of Pisa, where she was born.

Livorno was her first girls’ team, followed by Empoli and then Fiorentina.

She tried artistic gymnastics as a child but quickly realised that football was where she belonged.

Her twin sister, Sara, followed a different sporting path and competes in artistic gymnastics.

She studies at a sports-focused scientific high school while developing her professional career.

She wants to keep her future options open, but medicine and physiotherapy are the two careers she has considered beyond playing football.

She has enjoyed walking in the mountains since childhood and also loves skiing.

Travelling and discovering unfamiliar places are among her favourite ways to spend time away from football.

Horror, suspense and crime films are her favourites; romantic movies are definitely not her thing.
