Sofie Bruun Bredgaard is a Danish footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or forward. She has represented Denmark at senior level after previously playing for the country’s U16, U17 and U19 teams.
Her interest in football came from playing with her older brother in the garden and on their local pitch.
Lionel Messi was her biggest footballing role model, and she regularly watched videos of him for inspiration.
At 15, she openly stated that her ultimate ambition was to become the best player in the world and earn a living entirely through football.
After scoring the goal that helped Rosengård reach the Champions League group stage, she formed a heart with her hands and dedicated the celebration to her father.
Winning the Swedish league became especially emotional when she was able to celebrate the title with her father on the pitch.
