Evelina Duljan

Before a match, she likes to listen to music.

She is of Nigerian descent.

She likes braiding her hair and often changes her hairstyle.

She has a butterfly and other tattoos on her hand.

She first tried football at the age of seven by joining the neighborhood boys, as there were no girls’ teams nearby.

She played handball during her childhood due to the lack of girls’ football teams in her area.

She joined her first football club at age eleven when her local club, Näsby IF, formed a girls' team.

She debuted in Sweden’s top women’s league, Damallsvenskan, at just 14 years old. It was only three years after she started playing football properly.

Her role model is American football player Alex Morgan, and Evelina aims to match her speed and technique.

Evelina’s coach once saw her kicking and juggling anything that could resemble a ball, from socks to small rocks.

She wants to be a role model for young girls of foreign backgrounds in Sweden, as she felt there were few role models like herself when she was growing up.

She is eligible to play internationally for Nigeria as well as Sweden, thanks to her dual heritage.

Despite her talent, she struggles with perfectionism and sometimes gets overly critical of herself on the field.

She has represented Sweden at multiple youth levels.
