Delanie Sheehan

She started playing soccer at four years old in the "Itty Bitty Indoor League" and never considered another career—soccer was always the plan.

In high school, she not only excelled in soccer but also played softball and basketball.

She comes from Walnut Creek, California.

She was selected by NJ/NY Gotham FC in the 2021 NWSL Draft on her 21st birthday.

In 2024, she appeared in every game for Gotham and played the most minutes of any player on the team.

She majored in sociology at UCLA and minored in gender studies.

She originally majored in economics at UCLA.

While playing soccer, she also worked as a personal trainer.

She loves watching game film and focusing on small details to stay one step ahead on the field.

She spent four years coaching kids to improve their soccer skills both individually and in team settings.

She follows the same game-day routine, including breakfast, wall ball, stretching, and a shower, but changes up her coffee order every time. The only constants: iced and oat milk.

Sheehan was a member of youth national teams at the under-18, under-19, and under-20 levels.

She is a big fan of Harry Styles.

She admires Carli Lloyd for her humbleness and work ethic.

Her hobbies include going to the beach with friends, boating, reading self-motivating books, yoga, and hiking.
