She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, and is eligible for both Canada and the United States.
She’s part of a well-known sports family: her father was NHL player Doug Wickenheiser, and her cousin is Hockey Hall of Famer Hayley Wickenheiser.
She wears a gold necklace with an engraved bar that reads “DPW”. It reminds her of the father she wants to model her life after.
In a Swedish interview, she said her main goal is to “make God’s name known” and to honour God through sport.
