Did You Know?

She was selected 14th overall in the first round of the 2024 NWSL Draft by NJ/NY Gotham FC.
She captained her ECNL club, Sporting Blue Valley, from 2014 to 2017.
She was born in Wichita, Kansas, and has five younger siblings. Three of her brothers were adopted by her family.
Her parents, Brett and Kristy Bell, were both college basketball players.
She began her soccer career as a forward but switched to center back at her first U.S. youth national team camp in 2014.
She realized she loved stopping goals more than scoring them.
She modeled her game after U.S. national team defender Becky Sauerbrunn.
She played with the Courage first team during her college off-seasons.
She tore her meniscus in the first game of the 2022 college season and had to sit out the entire year.
She majored in Exercise and Sports Science at the University of North Carolina.
She learned to play soccer in a neglected field in south Wichita, where the grass was tall, and she often had to remove stickers from her socks.
As a child, she always told people she wanted to be a professional soccer player when she grew up.
She takes pride in being from Wichita and hopes to inspire young girls from her hometown to chase their dreams.
Growing up, she often played up two age groups, and when that wasn’t challenging enough, she switched to playing with an all-boys team.
Pre-game ritual includes listening to rap music, particularly Future and DaBaby, to get hyped before matches.
