She captained the Wake Forest team in her last two seasons.

She grew up in Charleston, South Carolina, in a single-parent household with five kids.

She has a twin sister and comes from a highly athletic family.

Her mom, despite financial struggles, found a way to support her club soccer journey, which involved extensive travel.

She was a multi-sport athlete growing up, playing basketball, baseball, and even considering American football.

She initially had no real interest in professional soccer or following major leagues as a kid—she just loved playing sports.

She considers herself both an optimist and a cynic, believing they go hand in hand.

Hannah's mom is a superhero to her, working as a nurse in the NICU for over 30 years, and has been a big influence on her.

Her mom's professional competence as a nurse deeply inspired her, leading Hannah to pursue a career in healthcare, with plans to become a physician assistant (PA).

In her downtime, Betfort enjoys relaxing with her girlfriend, family, dog, and cat, and indulging in “MasterChef” marathons.

She also enjoys hiking in the Pacific Northwest.

She shared that scoring a goal is an exhilarating moment, describing how she blacks out due to the excitement. For a song to represent the moment, she chose a Mac Miller track that captures the feeling of feeling like "a million bucks."

She and her partner Anna got engaged in 2024.
