She was born in Delft and started playing football there with DSV Concordia.

She joined Concordia in 2001, when she was only six years old, and spent 12 years there before moving on.

Before joining FC Utrecht in 2023, she spent a full decade with DTS Ede, starting there in the 2013/14 season.

During her DTS Ede years, she played alongside Linda Helbling, who later became FC Utrecht Women’s head coach.

Away from football, she works as an adviser at Probos, a Dutch forestry organisation.

Her work at Probos includes projects on climate-smart forestry, more forests and trees, and carbon-related topics such as calculating carbon storage in trees and forests.

Asked for her favourite tree, she chose the weeping willow. She said that, despite the name, she finds it not sad but majestic, and that it gives her a sense of serenity.
