She committed to Penn State University but stayed only for one season.

In 2025, at just 17 years old, Scott signed her first professional contract with the Kansas City Current, becoming one of the youngest players in the NWSL.

She comes from a family with deep ties to Penn State University; both her parents are alumni, with her father having played football and her mother having competed in gymnastics. Her two older brothers are also enrolled at Penn State.

Her older brother Nick is her best friend and longtime training partner — and he also plays right back.

Growing up with three older brothers meant she spent plenty of time playing football against boys.

Her childhood included football, basketball, baseball, American football and even parkour.

She has a tattoo in her father’s handwriting reading “Make a difference,” the phrase he used when dropping her off for school. The tattoo is not about football; it represents her desire to improve people’s lives through small acts of kindness.

Her on-field mental reset is a quick tap of both legs, which reminds her to stop overthinking a mistake and focus on the next action.
