Kyah Simon is an Australian footballer who plays as a forward for Dijon FCO in Division 1 Féminine.

Did You Know?

Simon is of Aboriginal Australian descent; her mother, Pam, is of the Anaiwan people, and her father, Gordon, is of the Biripi people

She founded the Kyah Simon Football Clinics to mentor and empower female footballers aged 8 to 18.

She reached the milestone of 100 international caps during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, becoming the first Indigenous Australian player to do so.

She made history at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup by becoming the first Indigenous Australian player, male or female, to score a goal in a World Cup tournament.

She scored the winning penalty in the shootout that secured Australia’s first-ever major piece of silverware at the 2010 AFC Women's Asian Cup.

At the age of eight, she told her mother she would one day represent Australia at the Olympics after her very first football training session.

She is the only player in history to win all four major individual honors in a single W-League season (2010–11): Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, and the Golden Boot.

Simon holds a Diploma in Business Management and has worked in football administration at Football Australia.

Kayh serves as a Community Ambassador for Capspace, raising awareness for various community initiatives in Australia.

Growing up in a family of rugby league players, she was introduced to soccer by her neighbors and began playing for the Quakers Hill under-8s.

Kyah loves a good cup of coffee.
