Luzie Zähringer is a German footballer who plays as a centre-back. She has represented Germany at U15, U16, U17 and U19 level.
She will spend the 2026/27 season on loan at VfB Stuttgart, giving her the chance to play for her hometown club before returning to Bayern Munich.
She had already faced VfB twice while representing Bayern Munich II before becoming their teammate.
Her family connection made VfB more than a sporting decision. She described the club as a constant presence whenever she thinks about her home region of Swabia.
She moved from Waiblingen to Munich at 16 and felt that her first two years at Bayern helped her grow both as a footballer and as a person.
Her three-word description of her own game is bold: “Brave, confident and aggressive.”
Although the German U19 national team ultimately fell short of winning its seventh UEFA Women's Under-19 Euro title, the entire tournament demonstrated that an exceptionally strong generation of talent is emerging in the country. Among the players who drew the most attention were goalkeeper Janne Krumme and captain Luzie Zähringer.
