Melvine Marie Ericka Malard is a French professional footballer who plays as a forward for English Women's Super League club Manchester United and the France national team.
Her first sport was handball, which she played with her sister. However, despite enjoying it, she knew her real passion was football.
She started playing football with her friends in a park near her home in RĂ©union. She found joy in scoring goals and sharing the ball with her friends, which motivated her to get more involved in the sport.
Her first club was Saint-Denis FC, one of the best clubs in RĂ©union. She spent her entire childhood there and never switched clubs until she joined Olympique Lyonnais.
She always played with boys, whether at school, in the park, or at the club. This shaped her strong personality and "tomboy" nature, which helped her not let anyone walk over her.
