Agnes "Aggie" Beever-Jones is an English footballer who plays for Chelsea and the Lionesses.
She is a product of the Chelsea academy. At first, she was rejected, but year later, she was accepted.
She began as a goalkeeper in a local league boys team.
Thanks to her grandfather, who is a die hard Chelsea fan, she is a lifelong Chelsea supporter.
When she was little, her mother signed her up for ballet lessons together with her sister, but Aggie never really liked it.
Her favourite player is Eden Hazard because he is a Chelsea legend. But her role model is her teammate Niamh Charles.
She is a fan of a singer Olivia Dean.
She prides herself to be a coffee connoisseur. She enjoys a flat white on daily basis and cortado on match days.
Aggie is really into geography and can name all the capitals.
She used to play as a goalkeeper during her youth career.
Chelsea put on a demolition job, crushing Liverpool 9–1. For Swedish sharpshooter Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, it marked her first hattrick in blue. Sam Kerr was also close to a hattrick, scoring twice in the opening 20 minutes, as was Dutch rising star Wieke Kaptein.
Nineteen-year-old academy graduate Lexi Potter also made her first start. While she did not register a goal or an assist, she completed the full 90 minutes in an impressive outing. Unfortunately, this match was also not without injury concerns. Rising star Aggie Beever-Jones was forced off before the start of the second half and replaced by Lauren James, although she had already managed to get on the scoresheet.
Chelsea continued their blistering start in the Women’s Super League, dismantling West Ham 4–0 to stay perfect in their title defence. Aggie Beever-Jones lit up the game with a stunning free-kick opener, while Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Erin Cuthbert and Wieke Kaptein all added to the rout. The result also saw West Ham reduced to ten players early on, making a recovery all but impossible.
Grace Clinton's debut, Vivianne Miedema's first goal of the new season, or Rosa Kafaja's strike to celebrate her first WSL start? And let's not forget Isobel Goodwin's two goals that secured London City Lionesses' first win. Which goal from last week is the best?
At just 22, Chelsea academy graduate Aggie Beever-Jones seized her moment on the opening night of the WSL season—striking first to drive Chelsea to a 2–1 win over Manchester City and proving she's far more than a late-game impact substitute. Praised by manager Sonia Bompastor for her pressing, versatility, and intelligence both on and off the ball, Beever-Jones looks set to step out as a central figure in Chelsea’s attack.
England and Spain will play in the Euro final tonight. The teams have already met twice this year in the Nations League. The Lionesses won 1:0 at home at Wembley, but lost 2:1 in the rematch in Spain after two goals by Claudia Pina.
Sarina Wiegman's protégé have two reasons to seek revenge. In addition to their defeat in the Nations League in May this year, they are also motivated by Spain's victory over England in the 2023 World Cup final. At the same time, Spain has never won the European Championship. They too are motivated to win the long-awaited title.
