Ruby Mace

Her dad used to play as well as her brother, so from just going to his games, it was a no-brainer for her family for her to get involved in football.

She previously played for Manchester City, Birmingham City, and Arsenal.

Ruby started off her career in a local club Upminster Park Rovers. She was welcomed into a boys’ team and they absolutely loved her and she loved them as well.

Ruby has been inspired by footballers like Cristiano Ronaldo, admiring his dedication and skill, her biggest female role model is Steph Houghton, former player of Manchester City.

She has collaborated with brands like Boot Buddy, reflecting her growing influence in the sport.

Ruby is a big lover of cats.

Loves to travel and enjoys a bit of sunshine during her downtime.

She had a little phase of athletics when she was younger while she represented region.

Ruby became the first Leciester City women's player to be called up to the senior England women's squad.

In February 2024, BBC Sport listed Mace as one of the five future Lionesses, described as "one of England's most highly-rated youngsters"
