Karen Rosted Holmgaard is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for FA Women's Super League club Everton and the Denmark national team.
She has an identical twin, Sara, who also plays for Everton.
Throughout their football careers, she and her sister joined the same clubs and made decisions together. They have only been on separate teams once.
During her childhood in Mid Jutland, she excelled at both football and handball. After college, she decided to focus on football.
The Holmgaard sisters feel that their careers wouldn't be where they are today without the mutual support and encouragement they’ve given each other.
She represented Denmark at the 2023 World Cup in Australia & New Zealand which has been a dream come true for her.
