Cornet started out with Loanhead Miners Boys Club, then moved to Hearts Girls before joining Hibernian.

Her hometown roots earned a special honour in 2023, when she became the first female footballer inducted into Loanhead’s Football Hall of Fame.

She played at both the 2014 UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship and the 2017 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship and ahead of the 2017 U19 EURO, UEFA picked her out as one of the tournament’s players to watch.

One of her favourite football memories came with Rangers, when she returned from a three-month knee injury and scored the late winner in a 3-2 Old Firm victory over Celtic. Cornet called it a feeling she would “truly never forget.”

Becoming a full-time footballer was a major change in her life. Cornet called the switch a “game changer” because she could finally focus completely on football and spend more time developing technically.
