Christen Press, 36, has announced she will retire from professional football at the end of the 2025 NWSL season, as confirmed by Angel City FC.
- Over her international career for United States (2013–2021), she earned 155 caps and scored 64 goals, placing her among the U.S. women’s team’s all-time top scorers.
- Press played a key role in the U.S. Women’s National Team’s 2015 and 2019 World Cup victories, and also won a bronze medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
- In June 2022, she suffered a severe ACL injury that sidelined her for over two years and required multiple surgeries before returning to play in late 2024.
