What if your child could play with a doll who shares their football dreams? To celebrate International Women’s Day, Barbie has unveiled a new collection honouring inspiring women — including Euro final hero Chloe Kelly.
In the past, the honour has been given to figures such as Venus Williams, Jane Goodall or Billie Jean King and much more. To mark International Women’s Day on Sunday, Barbie has released a new collection of dolls inspired by remarkable women who serve as role models for the next generation.
Alongside Australian surfer Stephanie Gilmore and Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana, the new series also features Lionesses and Arsenal forward Chloe Kelly. In doing so, Kelly becomes the first English footballer to have her own Barbie doll.
The Barbie was designed to reflect Kelly’s distinctive look and football identity, including her England kit and hairstyle, aiming to inspire young girls and boys to see women footballers as role models. Kelly’s impact goes beyond her performances on the pitch — her story is just as inspiring. Read more about her journey here.
