- Manchester United Women have confirmed the signing of Swedish international Hanna Lundkvist, with the deal agreed on 27 December 2025 and effective 1 January 2026, pending international clearance and registration.
- Lundkvist, 23, has signed a contract running until June 2029, committing her long-term future to the club.
- She primarily plays as a full-back and has senior caps for the Sweden national team, including UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.
- Her club career includes spells at San Diego Wave (USA), Atlético Madrid (Spain), Hammarby and AIK (Sweden) so this is gonna be her first time playing in England.
- Her signing strengthens United’s squad depth ahead of the second half of the 2025/26 season, where they compete in the WSL, FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Women’s Champions League.
