- Hospital tests revealed a heart attack triggered by a congenital anomaly—an anomalous left coronary artery. Emergency surgery at Cedars‑Sinai rerouted her blood supply.
- King expressed profound thanks to her club’s medical team: “They saved my life… I play for them now, too.”
- She plans to use her experience to raise awareness about CPR, stressing that “anything can happen at any time” and knowing CPR can be lifesaving.
