The Marta Award, the female version of the Puskás Award, has announced its nominees. Among them is Dutch striker Vivianne Miedema and her milestone 100th goal in orange.
- The Manchester City and Netherlands national team striker scored her 100th goal at the European Championship in the opening match against Wales.
- Although the Netherlands failed to advance from the group stage at Euro 2016 after losing to France and England, this anniversary will be special for Miedema. She scored her 98th and 99th goals just before the tournament in a friendly match against Finland.
