Anja Heuschkel is a German footballer who plays as a defender for FC Carl Zeiss Jena in the Frauen-Bundesliga.

Anja started playing football at age eight in Wormstedt with boys.
She attended Jena’s sports boarding school “Joh. Chr. Fr. GutsMuths”-Sportgymnasium, where she completed her Abitur.
Her father Mike was the chairman of the board of the Central Rural Sports Association Wormstedt.
Debuted in the Frauen-Bundesliga at age 16 in June 2014 with FF USV Jena against Hoffenheim.
Anja likes skiing.
She loves to read in her free time.
Anja is a dog person.
She has tried skydiving.
While playing at Jena, she completed her Abitur and started a teaching degree with a focus on sports and business law, planning to finish in summer 2025. Also runs football AGs (sports clubs) in primary schools.
