Byanca Beatriz Alves de Araújo is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a forward. She has represented Brazil at U17, U20 and senior level.
Byanca is widely known as the “Rainha das Lambretas” (“Queen of the Flick-Up”) because of her trademark skill move.
She learned the famous flick-up move at home by repeatedly practicing against an old wooden staircase.
Her surname “Brasil” was added by youth coach Claudino de Melo, who jokingly connected her first names “Byanca Beatriz” with “Big Brother Brasil” to create a third “B”.
Before becoming a senior professional, she was the top scorer of a Brazilian U15 girls’ competition while playing for Vasco da Gama.
Her father helped her develop her signature dribbling style and even recorded videos of futsal tricks for her to study.
She spent two seasons playing in China with Wuhan Jianghan University taking her career to the Chinese women’s league.
After receiving her first senior Brazil call-up in 2024, she described it as a dream she had carried since she was eight years old.
Byanca has openly spoken about her battle with depression and said that overcoming it felt like the greatest trophy of her life.
