Marília da Cruz Furiel is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a forward. She has represented Brazil at youth and senior international level.
She started playing street football with her siblings and cousins while growing up in Janauacá.
Football runs in the Furiel family. Her four sisters and brother have all played the sport, and her parents were also passionate football players.
Her family continues to live in the Janauacá community, where agriculture and fishing are important parts of daily life.
As a teenager, she regularly travelled by boat from Janauacá toward Manaus to pursue football opportunities.
Marília has said that reaching the Brazilian national team was a dream she had since childhood. Her mother described the call-up as the realization of that dream.
She was a devoted fan of Brazilian legend Marta while growing up.
She earned her first Brazil U17 call-up in 2019 while playing for Iranduba.
Marília moved from Amazonas to Minas Gerais in 2021 to join Cruzeiro and continue her development at national level.
Cruzeiro supporters know her by the nickname “Flecheira” (“The Archer”), a nickname widely used by the club and fans.
She underwent knee meniscus surgery in 2022 before returning to establish herself as an important player for Cruzeiro
