Paloma Maciel
Paloma Maciel is a Brazilian centre-back and defensive midfielder who has represented Brazil at senior international level and has played for clubs including Cruzeiro and Athletico Paranaense.

She started her football journey in futsal with a side in Brusque before moving into outdoor football.
Early in her career, she played as a forward for Fluminense Futebol Clube (SC) and MarcĂlio Dias before later transitioning into a more defensive role.
After a trial period at Athletico Paranaense in 2020, she was moved back into defensive midfield.
Paloma described her first Brazil call-up as “very different,” saying that being part of the national team felt special and emotional.
She said “Cruzeiro made me grow” while speaking about her development after becoming a regular starter for the club.
