Katiuscia Fernandes Soares is a Brazilian right-back who represents Brazil at club level and has played for XV de Piracicaba, ABD Botucatu, Rio Preto, Santos and Corinthians, winning multiple national titles.
She started playing football in the streets of the Tancredo Neves neighborhood and often accompanied her father to local amateur football matches.
Katiuscia began her professional career relatively late, at 18 years old, after passing a trial with XV de Piracicaba.
She said in an interview that she originally started as a midfielder before eventually becoming a right back at Santos.
During her time at Corinthians, teammates and fans commonly referred to her as “Kati.”
Katiuscia studied Process Management through a scholarship program linked to Corinthians and Universidade Brasil.
One of the most memorable matches of her career, according to Katiuscia, was the 2019 Paulista final against SĂŁo Paulo at a packed Arena Corinthians.
She suffered a knee injury in February 2022 and spent approximately nine months sidelined before returning to action.
