Fun Facts about Isa

Discover more than stats. Get more of who she is.

Her interest in goalkeeping began by watching her brother play in goal.

Growing up in Irati, Paraná, she remembers being the only girl playing football among the boys in her hometown.

Her football journey took an unusual turn at nine, when she switched to playing outfield in football while remaining a futsal goalkeeper; a coach's encouragement brought her back into goal on the pitch at 12.

One of her biggest inspirations is Rogério Ceni, the legendary goalscoring São Paulo goalkeeper, whose free-kicks convinced her that keepers could be dangerous at the other end of the pitch too.

She has the unusual distinction of becoming the first goalkeeper to score a free-kick for both São Paulo and Ferroviária in their respective youth football histories.
