Chancelle Effa Effa is a French footballer who plays as a forward for Première Ligue club Le Havre and the youth France national team.

Did You Know?

When she talks about how she started, Chancelle often explains the hilarious family drama she went through to play football, saying: "I've always loved football, since I was little, but my mother didn't want me to do it! It was basketball or nothing! But my uncle and my father managed to convince her, because they were in favour. For her, it was a boys' sport! Now she's proud!"

She used to play basketball when she was younger.

Chancelle is studying Management and Administration.

The first football match she ever saw was HAC – Bourg-en-Bresse in 2016, where they were missing a goal to go up. Where Lys Mousset had hit the posts twice. It was a real match! I was 9 years old, it marked me.

Her role models were Eugénie Le Sommer, Wendie Renard or Marie-Antoinette Katoto.

She arrived at the Le Havre AC academy in 2015 (age 9), indicating she started her structured development in her hometown. She is recognized as a "pur produit de la formation havraise" (a pure product of the Le Havre academy).

Chancelle is noted to have a close bond with fellow HAC academy product Mélinda Mendy, having signed their first professional contracts together in 2022.

She wears her hair in braids.

She is a dog person.

Chancelle loves to relax in or around the water.

Effa Effa proudly represents France on the youth international level and was part of the French squad that won UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship in 2023.
