Karen Bender is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a defender. She has played professionally in Brazil and abroad and has represented Brazil at youth level.
Karen is the twin sister of forward Kélen Bender, who also plays professional football.
Both sisters have played together at Atlético Mineiro in the women’s setup.
She previously played for Botafogo in Brazil before joining Atlético Mineiro.
During her time at Botafogo, she won regional titles including the Copa Rio Feminina.
Karen has also played outside Brazil, including a spell in Lithuania with Gintra Universitetas.
She won the Liga Báltica and Lithuanian league during her time in Europe.
Karen was part of a Brazilian youth national team setup, including success at South American U-20 level.
