Karol Dias
Almerinda Karolina Dias Batista, better known as Karol Dias, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a defender, primarily at right back. Born in Capim Branco, Minas Gerais, she has built her career across several Brazilian clubs, including América Mineiro, Cruzeiro, Red Bull Bragantino, and Atlético Mineiro.

Karol Dias grew up in Capim Branco, Minas Gerais, and has said that football was her favorite childhood toy, receiving balls as Christmas presents while growing up.
She started playing football in the streets, at school, and with friends and family long before entering organized competition.
At age 13, she joined a football academy and played her first competitions alongside boys, with strong support from her family.
Karol participated in the Campeonato Mineiro for the first time in 2014 and finished as runner-up.
After that tournament, she earned an opportunity to join the selection process at Ferroviária, one of Brazil’s traditional women’s football clubs, where her professional pathway began.
In 2025, she underwent knee surgery while playing for Atlético Mineiro and immediately began a supervised rehabilitation process with the club’s medical staff.
