Khadija Shaw, also known as Bunny Shaw, is a Jamaican professional footballer who plays as a forward for Women's Super League club Manchester City and the Jamaica national team.
She is Jamaica's all-time top goalscorer for both men and women.
Her father was a shoemaker and mother was a chicken farmer.
She is the youngest of 13 siblings. She sadly lost three of her brothers due to gang-related violence.
She was nicknamed 'Bunny' from very early age. This nickname was given by her brother because of her love for carrots. She also have this nickname on her jersey.
She graduated from the University of Tennessee (USA) with a degree in communication. That also helped her to overcome her shyness in interviews.
She doesn't have any specific goal celebration, unlike many players. She just celebrates in the way how she feels it in that moment.
She has number 21 on her jersey for specific reason. The year 2021 was important because she developed herself much and scored 21 goals in that season.
She likes Robert Lewandowski and his style of play.
Her favourite food is Jamaican jerk chicken.
The Guardian published a candid interview with Jamaican striker Khadija “Bunny” Shaw, focusing on the critical importance of players’ mental health. Shaw, who along with Alessia Russo was the top scorer last season, opens up about a topic that remains somewhat taboo in sport. Just like Jess Carter after the Euros, she has faced racist abuse.
